Manager Karl Robinson used 22 players during the 9-1 victory, giving each player 45 minutes, with the exceptions of David Martin and Dean Bowditch - both of whom picked up knocks in training prior to the match.

New signing George Williams opened the scoring after nine minutes, before Ben Reeves doubled the lead four minutes later, with Giorgio Rasulo making it 3-0 after 20 minutes.

The home side pulled a goal back from the penalty spot before Joe Walsh and another Reeves strike made it 5-1 at the break.

Changing all 11 players on the field didn’t seem to stop Dons’ scoring mood as Brandon Thomas-Asante, Nicky Maynard, Tom Hitchcock and Samir Carruthers added their names to the score sheet.

Dons are in action again on Tuesday night when they take on Drogheda.
