MK Dons will be looking for their second win over Wolves when the sides lock horns at stadium:mk on Tuesday night.

Karl Robinson’s side shocked the then League 1 leaders when the pair met in December 2013, with goals from Patrick Bamford and Ben Reeves handing them a 2-0 win at Molineux.

Wolves went on to win the league at a canter that season, while Dons were made to wait another 12 months before joining them in the Championship.

Earlier this season, Dons survived a gold onslaught at Molineux to escape with a 0-0 draw and a point as the home side, which featured former Dons striker Benik Afobe, did everything but score.

Afobe left Kenny Jackett’s side in January, destined for Bournemouth in the Premier League, and it has seen Wolves stall somewhat. Sitting 12th in the league, Wolves are unlikely to mount a late challenge for the play-offs, so have little but pride at stake when they arrive at stadium:mk.

For Dons though, the game is edging towards a must-win as they sit four points from safety in 22nd place. Having lost the last two games 2-1, Dons have picked up 10 points from their last 10 games - form which has seen them go from six points clear of the relegation zone to very much in it.

Dons go into the game without David Martin, Rob Hall and Ben Reeves - all of which are set to miss the remainder of the season through injury. Reeves, who has been limited to just 21 appearances this season, has flown to Italy to see a specialist ‘to hopefully resolve the cause of the injuries’ that have hindered his campaign.

Cody Cropper will remain in goal as he deputises for Martin, out with a fractured hand, while Hall is sidelined with a knee injury.
