Cody Cropper - 4 - Hesitated for the opener, sent off and left his team in the mire at the end.

Dean Lewington - 6 - Solid if unspectacular. Some big tackles.

Kyle McFadzean - 6 - Looked uneasy at times on his return, but strong for the most part. Missed a good chance.

Joe Walsh - 6 - Potentially at fault for losing Beckford for the opener.

Jordan Spence - 5 - Struggled with the pace of the game, and was sacrificed at 1-1 to bring on more attacking options.

Darren Potter - 5 - Looked a passenger at times.

Jake Forster-Caskey - 6 - Decent first half, but struggled with an injury and didn’t reappear.

Samir Carruthers - 7 - Looked like the only player wanting to prove himself in the first half. Made some decent runs.

Dean Bowditch - 6 - Some questionable tackles saw him lucky not to be booked, but looked a decent outlet.

Josh Murphy - 7 - Missed a sitter late on, but was a regular thorn in Preston’s side.

Nicky Maynard - 6 - Offside an awful lot, but took his goal well.
