MK Dons are now more than four wins from the relegation zone after their 1-0 win over botton club Bolton Wanderers.

Rhys Healey's 11th goal of the season, coming midway through the second half, was enough to see off the Trotters, extending Dons' undefeated run to five games while remaining 18th.

Dons could have climbed to 17th but for Shrewsbury's 1-0 win over Doncaster keeping them two points up the road, level with Blackpool, who were held by 20th placed AFC Wimbledon. Their point means Tranmere are eight points adrift of safety following their 3-1 defeat to Wycombe Wanderers. Southend remain 22nd after losing 3-2 to Burton Albion.

Coventry City are level with league leaders Rotherham after beating Rochdale 2-1, while the Millers were 2-1 winners over Accrington Stanley. Wycombe are a point behind the pair, while Sunderland are only three points off the top after thumping Bristol Rovers 3-0.

Fleetwood have now won five in a row, seeing off Portsmouth - who Dons play on Tuesday night - 1-0 at Highbury Stadium. Karl Robinson's Oxford United were 1-0 winners over Ipswich Town at Portman Road, while Lincoln and Gillingham played out a goal-less draw at Sincil Bank
