Yet another goal in the opening 15 minutes was the source of MK Dons' downfall said Carlton Morris after the 2-1 defeat to Accrington Stanley on Saturday.

Dion Charles poked home Tariq Uwakwa's cross after eight minutes, with the home side already having missed a sitter minutes earlier through Colby Bishop.

Despite being poor for the opening 20 minutes or so at the Wham Stadium though, Dons had chances to draw level through Cameron Jerome and Morris, but it was not until the 53rd minute that they did eventually equalise, coming via a brilliant individual effort from the on-loan Norwich striker.

Parity would last just nine minutes though with Charles capitalising on a Dean Lewington clearance being charged down to be left with a simple tap in.

But it was Charles' opener - the tenth time Dons have conceded in the opening 15 minutes this season - which cause Dons' downfall according to Morris.

"We've had problems conceding early goals," he said. "We've been given so much information on how to counter it but we've shot ourselves in the foot and made it an uphill battle.

"We had a good reaction before half time, with their players scrambling to get in at half-time because we were banging on the door. We got the goal back but more sloppy defending, individual errors. Those things are costing us.

"It's good to know we've got the ability to fight back. I've been in teams before when you go behind, heads drop and it's the end of the world. We have heart and desire in this team and quality to get back in games. It's frustrating that this one got away from us."
