Newport Pagnell slipped to their first defeat in three league games after a 4-2 defeat to Wellingborough.

Three goals were scored in the opening 10 minutes, with Josh Crawley cancelling out Joe Bloomfield’s fifth minute opener, before Jake Newman restored the Doughboys’ lead.

Adam Randall made it three for the Doughboys after 48 minutes.

With five minutes left Jon Mitchell sealed the Doughboys’ success.

Dom Lawless netted a Swans consolation two minutes from time as Newport remain ninth in the table.

Olney Town continued their fine goal-scoring form but smashing Blackstones 5-0.

Fresh from scoring eight goals last week, Town’s relentless attitude in front of goal saw Jamie Burrows bury a hat-trick, with strikes from Sam O’Neill and an own goal completing the rout, which also saw Jack Taylor save a spot kick.

Two days later, Town went one further by hitting Old Bradwell for six to reach the Buckingham Charity Cup semi finals.

Burrows completed his second hat-trick of the week, with Deanio Bailey-Browne, Sam Marven and home debutant Harry Zukkour completing up the 6-1 thrashing.

Stony Stratford couldn’t make it two wins in a row as they lost 3-0 to Southall.

Division 2

New Bradwell St Peter moved into second with a 2-2 draw with Pitstone & Ivinghoe.

Wolverton Town pulled off the shock of the day by beating Old Bradwell 2-1 to edge away from the relegation zone.

Mursley had to share the points with Aston Clinton. Just after the half hour, they went ahead when Robin Tucker’s guided header from eight yards, eluded Roberts in the Aston Clinton goal and lodged in the back of the net.

Coulter then came close as he shot marginally wide from a tight angle.

A minute later, rounded Roberts to have his effort scrambled away for a corner by a last-ditch intervention.

It was a similar story in the second half, but a quick ball out of defence on the hour saw Young in the clear and his shot passed the advancing Luke Purnell to equalise. Mursley still dominated couldn’t force a winner, but avoided a late upset as Stapleton put his shot with at the death.

Willen remain bottom after losing 6-1 to leaders Hale Leys United.
