Welsh striker Church scored six times in 13 appearances for Aberdeen as they chased Celtic for the Scottish Premier League title, while Northern Ireland defender Lee Hodson played 14 times for relegation battling Kilmarnock after both left stadium:mk on loan in January.

During their time north fo the border, Robinson admitted he had little contact with the duo, but knows what he’d like for them as Dons prepare for League 1.

“Hopefully I’ll get a chance to speak to them before they go to the Euros,” he said. “I haven’t spoken to them for two or three months now, I wanted them to feel like that was their club, I didn’t feel it was right to interfere.

“Now, with the Euros coming, we’ll see where it leaves us next season.

“A lot of questions will be answered after the summer because we don’t know what ambitions they have for next year.

“I have a clear vision for what their roles will be at the club, and they need to accept it or move on.

“Lee Hodson will have to compete for that position, while Simon Church is one of two strikers we have with Tom Hitchcock. We’ll have to see what happens.”
