Playing up front on his own has brought out a new side of Cameron Jerome at MK Dons, says Russell Martin.

The 34-year-old hasn't scored in his last five games, and has only scored in two games since Carlton Morris played his final game for the club in late December.

His performance against AFC Wimbledon though, which saw him set up both goals in the 2-0 win, impressed Martin in different ways to his goal-scoring exploits.

"His goals will come again, I have no doubt, I have no problem with him," said the manager. "If he’s not scoring I want him to provide and he’s doing that. He’s a real team player.

"Cammy has to carry a lot of responsibility on his own at times because he’s lost Carlton and Mase (Joe Mason) is getting up to speed. He set the tone for the team when he presses hard, the team go with him, he makes unselfish runs and for the two goals.

"He was incredible. He could’ve scored in the first half, when we does that he is a scary man to play against at any level. His mentality is so strong because of where he’s been he isn't fazed by anything and he just wants to prove people wrong. When he performs like that he’s a real threat. "
