Olney Town suffered a 5-2 defeat at the hands of Bourne Town in UCL Division 1 on Saturday.

Despite taking the lead through Kevin Owusu, Bourne scored twice in three minutes to go in 2-1 up at half time.

Three goals in the second half sealed it before Kevin Igweani’s consolation.

>> Old Bradwell got the better of city rivals Unite MK to climb above them in SSML Division 2. Aaron Bashin, Ben Green and Darryl Smith netted for United in the 3-2 win, with Luke Little bagging a brace for Unite. Old Bradwell now sit eighth in the league.

>> Goal-scoring machine Manny Duku is as proud as punch to become a Hayes & Yeading’s record-breaker but he had no idea he was about to do so until this week.

Duku’s goal in on Saturday 2-1 loss to Ashford Town meant he has now scored 27 goals for Yeading, beating the previous club record of 25 in a season.

Duku, who used to play for Banbury and Aylesbury before switching to Hayes & Yeading last season, is also joint top scorer in the Evo-Stik Southern League (East), helping his side to fifth place.

The tall striker has being linked with a move into the professional game, attracting interest from St Johnston and Colchester.
