When the sides last met in Milton Keynes, Ryan Seager netted the winner six minutes from time to secure Robbie Neilson's side a 3-2 win in 2017. Previous to that, Ben Reeves equalised in stoppage time in a 2-2 draw, while Danny Green did the same in the 84th minute in 2014.

Down the years, Dons and Rochdale have crossed paths 15 times, with Dons coming out on top seven times, with four draws and four Dale wins.

While Russell Martin's side head into the game without a win in their last four games, Rochdale have lost five of their last nine, winning just two as they sit 18th in League One. But their 2-2 draw with Gillingham at the weekend means even a Dons win would not see them climb above Brian Barry-Murphy's side in the table.

Taking charge of the game on Tuesday night is Charles Breakspear. Infamous for flashing his cards about, Breakspear reached his century of yellow cards at the weekend in just 23 games, sending off his 12th man too. Dons last saw him in charge of the Leasing.com Trophy win over Coventry City, when he sent off Brannan Dickenson for falling into Marvin Williams. Michael Webb and Louis Marks will run the lines with Fourth Official Ollie Williams.

The bookmakers have Dons at 19/20 to win, Dale at 16/5 and 27/10 the draw.
