Former boss Paul Tisdale makes his first trip back to Stadium MK on Boxing Day when he returns with Bristol Rovers.

Tisdale won promotion from League Two with Dons in 2018/19 but after going 10 league games without a win, and dropping into the relegation zone, was sacked after losing 3-1 to Tranmere Rovers.

Since taking over at the Memorial Ground, Tisdale has won four of seven outings as Rovers have recovered to 19th in the league, level on points with Dons ahead of kick-off. Due to a Covid-19 outbreak at the club though, Rovers have not played since December 12, but had won three on the bounce.

Dons have stuttered recently since beating Charlton at The Valley, having picked two points from a possible 12, and sitting 17th in the standings.

In 14 meetings between the sides, Dons have won seven to Rovers' four, with three draws. The last meeting came on New Year's Day this year, with Dons climbing out of the relegation zone courtesy of a 3-0 win at Stadium MK. Rovers' last win in Milton Keynes came in March 2018, triumphing 1-0 against Dan Micciche's side.

James Oldham will take charge of the game. In 16 outings this season, Oldham has booked 38 and sent off two. Michael Webb and Joe Simpson will run the lines, with Fourth Official Declan Ford.

Bookmakers have Dons at 8/11 to win the game, Rovers are 7/2 and 11/4 the draw.
