MK Dons have no better chance to end their away-day dismay than against Crewe Alexandra this Saturday.

The Railwaymen have lost three of their opening four matches this season, and sit second from bottom of the League One table. Dons meanwhile have a win, a draw and two defeats and are 18th.

But Dons haven't won on the road over a calendar year, or 16 games away from Stadium MK. Their last win was on September 14, 2019, when Russell Martin was on the scoresheet in Dons' 3-0 triumph over Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.

There's nothing to tell between the sides down the years. In 11 meetings, both sides have four wins and there have been three draws. Alexandra Stadium is not the happiest of hunting grounds for the club though, with Dons winning just once in six meetings - albeit a 5-0 thumping in January 2015 en route to promotion to the Championship.

Referee Seb Stockbridge will take charge of the game on Saturday - his fifth game of the season. So far, he has dished out 13 yellow cards this season. Dons fans have not seen him since the 2-0 win over Newport County at Stadium MK in February 2019. Thomas Harty and Gary Hilton will run the lines, with Karl Evans the fourth official.

The bookies have Dons at 9/4 to win, Crewe at 23/20 and 12/5 the draw.
