MK Dons will be desperate to avoid a repeat of their first half performance against Burton Albion when they take on Peterborough on Tuesday night.

Russell Martin admitted he was hurt and disappointed by the first 45 minutes at Stadium MK on Saturday as his side were distinctly second best against a team with just two wins to their name all season.

Posh sit fourth in the table, just three points off the top despite picking up just one league win in their last three. Having lost to AFC Wimbledon and Portsmouth, Darren Ferguson's side were 4-1 winners over Rochdale at the ABAX Stadium on Saturday.

There have been plenty of meetings between the sides down the years, with Tuesday's game to be the 27th game since 2004. Peterborough just edge the overall stats, with 12 wins to Dons' 10 with four draws. The game last season though was as one-sided as they come, with Peterborough thumping Paul Tisdale's side 4-0 at Stadium MK.

Robert Lewis will referee the game, his 15th game of the campaign. He has booked 36 players, and sent off two. Dons fans last saw him take charge of their 2-0 defeat to Rochdale at Spotland in October 2019. Leigh Crowhurst and John Flynn will run the lines, with Fourth Official David Rock.

The bookmakers have both sides at 8/5 to win the game, with the draw 5/2
