Dons and Oxford will cross paths for just the eighth time on Saturday, with Dons eager to pick up their third win against the U's.

Down the years, Oxford have claimed victory three times, with Dons just twice and two draws. Last time out, it was Oxford who claimed the win at the Kassam Stadium back in October when second-half goals from Sam Long and Olamide Shodipo ensured Karl Robinson's side claimed all three points in a 3-2 victory.

Dons though have never lost to the U's at Stadium MK, winning one and drawing two the games in Milton Keynes.

Since the meeting last year, both sides have turned significant corners. Both were struggling at the wrong end of the table, but now are looking up rather than down. Oxford head into the game sitting eighth in League One, while Dons are 13th, having dropped from 11th after suffering their first defeat in five games on Tuesday night against Shrewsbury. Oxford were on a remarkable run until the last week, having won 11 from 12 games to see them rocket up the table. But after missing out on another Wembley final when they were beaten 2-0 by Tranmere in the Papa John's Trophy, Oxford were held by Ipswich on Saturday before losing 1-0 at home to Portsmouth on Tuesday.

James Oldham takes charge of the game at Stadium MK. In 23 outings this season, Mr Oldham has flashed 60 yellow cards and two reds. Dons fans last saw him on Boxing Day for the 2-0 win over Bristol Rovers. Kenwyn Hughes and Paul Yates will run the lines with Fourth Official John Flynn.

Bookmakers have Dons at 7/4 to win, with Oxford 31/20 and 12/5 the draw.
