MK Dons will be eager to bounce back to winning ways after three games without a victory when they play Portsmouth at Stadium MK.

After a winning run of four consecutive games, Dons suffered defeats to Crewe and Lincoln City, either side of a 0-0 draw with Ipswich Town and are 14th in League One. Fifth-placed Portsmouth are going through a very similar run, having also won four, losing at home to Burton before picking up a point in the week against Crewe.

In five meetings between the sides, Dons have only won once but it came when Portsmouth last came to Stadium MK in December 2019, when Russell Martin's side ran out 3-1 winners. Overall, Pompey have claimed victory in four of the seven meetings between the sides, including the last two at Fratton Park.

Earlier this season, Dons were beaten 2-1, falling behind to Tom Naylor's opener after two minutes. Scott Fraser netting his first goal for Dons from the spot before Ellis Harrison also scored a penalty on 23 minutes in a game Dons would go on to dominate but come away with nothing to show for it.

Martin Coy takes charge of the game, his 28th of the season. He has dished out 68 yellow cards and four reds. His last Dons game came in January 2020 in the 1-0 defeat to Burton at the Pirelli Stadium where he booked Russell Martin for an altercation with the fourth official. Nicholas Cooper and Stephen Finch will run the lines with Fourth Official Scott Williams.

Bookmakers have Dons at 21/10 to win the game, Portsmouth are 11/8 and 9/4 the draw.
