Bouncing back from Saturday's defeat will be at the forefront of MK Dons' minds on Tuesday night when they take on Shrewsbury at Stadium MK.

After going four games unbeaten in League One prior to taking on leaders Hull on Saturday, the 3-1 defeat saw Dons drop back to 17th in the table.

And they have no better opportunity to return to winning ways than taking on a Shrewsbury side who have not won in the league since October 17 when they were 1-0 winners over AFC Wimbledon. They head to Stadium MK in 22nd after conceding two late goals to Ipswich in their 2-1 defeat at Portman Road on Saturday.

The Shrews have not beaten Dons since March 2013, with five Dons wins and three draws coming since. In total, Dons have won seven of 16 meetings, with Shrewsbury only three and six draws.

When the sides last met, Rhys Healey netted with 13 minutes to go to rescue a 1-1 draw at Greenhaus Meadow back in February, while the strike netted in stoppage time on the opening day of last season in the last meeting at Stadium MK.

Darren Drysdale will referee the game, what will be his 12th outing of the season. He has dished out 23 yellow cards and one red so far. Dons last saw him take charge of the 1-0 win over Fulham U21s in October 2019. Marc Wilson and Stephen Kidd will run the lines, and Stephen Finch will be the fourth official.

The bookmakers have Dons at 19/20 to win the game, Shrewsbury at 31/10 and 12/5 the draw.
