Doncaster Rovers could be seen as something of a bogey team for MK Dons.

Picking up just two wins from 11 matches, Dons have struggled to pick up points against Rovers who have won five of those games.

But after a good showing in the reverse fixture earlier this season (see left), Russell Martin’s side have a great chance to swing things back in their favour.

The last game between the sides at Stadium MK came in April 2018 when a John Marquis double cancelled out Ike Ugbo’s first half opener as Doncaster left 2-1 winners.

Home form has been consistent for Dons lately, losing just one of their last seven at Stadium MK - the 1-0 defeat to Sunderland in January.

Darren Moore’s side are 10th in the table, 14 points up the road from Dons who remain nervously looking over their shoulders to the relegation zone in 18th spot.

After back-to-back defeats, Doncaster returned to winning ways on Saturday when they beat promotion-chasers Wycombe Wanderers 3-0 on Saturday, while Dons picked up a key point against Rotherham last Saturday.

Carl Boyeson will take charge of the game - his 24th appearance of the season. He has flashed 65 yellow cards this season, and sent off five. Dons fans last saw him during the 1-1 draw with Coventry City in January, while Doncaster saw him in December. Nicholas Cooper and Paul Hobday will run the lines with Ryan Whitaker the fourth official.

Bookmakers have MK Dons at 8/5 to win, Doncaster at 13/8 and 23/10 the draw.
