The rivalry will be rekindled on Saturday when AFC Wimbledon visit Stadium MK.

Russell Martin is set to cross paths with the Londoners, but scored a penalty in the Carabao Cup victory at the Cherry Red Records Stadium last August as Dons were winners in the shoot-out. He also played in the 2-1 win at Stadium MK in the league last September.

In nine previous meetings between the sides, Dons have won five times, losing twice and two draws. Glyn Hodges’ side are currently four points clear of Dons in the League One table, but only have a single win in Milton Keynes since their first visit in December 2012. But they, like Dons, were winners on Tuesday night, seeing off Blackpool 1-0.

Chris Sarginson will take charge of the game. He has booked 21 players and sent one off in his eight outings this season. Dons last saw him in the dramatic 2-1 win over Forest Green in March 2019. Thomas Harty and Michael Begley will run the lines, with Fourth Official Peter Wright.

Dons head into the game evens to win it, with AFC Wimbledon at 11/4 and 12/5 the draw.
