After scoring his eighth of the season on Tuesday night, Scott Fraser admitted he has been annoyed by his lack of goals recently.

The Scot netted a brilliant solo effort against Rochdale but had not scored in nine games when he converted on Boxing Day in the 2-0 win over Bristol Rovers.

Fraser said he has been working on his game out of possession and believes he has improved as a player since arriving at Stadium MK, but said his goal drought was playing on his mind.

"I've been frustrated, really frustrated to be honest," said Fraser. "The important thing is I've still been helping and contributing to the team with assists and a lot of work off the ball, which is something I've spoken to the gaffer about because I feel it's something I've needed to add to my game. But that has taken away from the other side of it, because I've not had many chances in the last few games.

"Tonight when I picked it up, I was always going to shoot so thankfully it went in!"

"I've got a big role in the team, he puts a lot of responsibility on me, and I like to be the player who the manager and fans look to to drag us through at times. We've got a lot of quality in the team throughout. I love working with the gaffer and Luke, and I feel I've improved since I got here."
