Fraser likely to be back for Oxford clash on Saturday

Russell Martin eased fears after Scott Fraser missed out on tonight's defeat to Shrewsbury Town through injury.

The Scot has made 34 appearances for Dons this season and has been a key man in the midfield, scoring nine goals too.

Missing from the teamsheet on Tuesday night though, Dons capitulated to a 4-2 defeat after falling 3-0 down inside 19 minutes.

But the Dons boss said Fraser's injury is not a long-term one and he expects him to return this Saturday for the home game agains Oxford United.

He said: "Scott took a knock on Saturday which he couldn't shake off in time for tonight. If we'd played him tonight, it would have affected him for the weekend. He'll be fit and ready. It's nothing major. It was a chance for someone to make an impression tonight and they'll be disappointed not to make an impact tonight."
