New signing Scott Fraser will be phased into action for MK Dons after missing pre-season training.

The 25-year-old signed for the club on Wednesday after leaving Burton in the summer, and while he has been training by himself during the interim, needs more time to be fully match-fit according to Russell Martin.

It means he is unlikely to be handed a start in the curtain-raiser at Doncaster Rovers tomorrow.

The manager confirmed: "He's going to take a little bit of time to get up to speed because he has been off for so long, hasn't been training with the team but training on his own and we know that's different., We're hoping to have him in the squad really quickly.

"We'll manage his minutes to get him in top shape, so when he's ready to start, he's ready to take off."

There is positive news from the treatment room though, with a glut of players set to return next week for the game against Lincoln City.

"George Williams is back training so will be back available next week," Martin said. "We just need to make sure he gets through it.

"Ben Gladwin will also be back next week, which is pleasing. He's in contention for Doncaster, but in terms of starting it might be a bit early. He's training but I think he should be available next week.

"Louis Thompson is two weeks away from training and Richard Keogh is returning to training as well too so it's looking positive on the injury front."
