Scott Fraser said he felt dizzy and weak after taking a blow to the head against Northampton on Tuesday night, but will have to take a covid test as part of medical protocols.

The 25-year-old misjudged a header and felt the after-effects, going down 10 minutes before half time, eventually replaced by Louis Thompson in midfield.

Fraser had scored in both Dons' previous two outings against Wigan and AFC Wimbledon, and his withdrawl left Dons lacking going forwards as they had to settle for a 0-0 draw with Northampton Town.

Now though, he must be monitored for the next two days and undergo the covid-19 test before he can rejoin his team-mates as they prepare to take on Eastleigh in the FA Cup on Sunday.

"He said he felt a bit weak and dizzy," Russell Martin confirmed at the PTS Academy Stadium. "He'll have to have a covid test now, he's not had any symptoms though. He said he took a little whack on his head early on which is probably what caused it but we have to follow the protocols and monitor it for a few days.

"We really missed him. When they got really tired towards the end, we missed that killer pass and that quality he has. Hopefully he won't be out for too long."
