Ben Gladwin's return to MK Dons was confirmed on Tuesday morning.

The midfielder signed for Dons in January after his release from Blackburn Rovers, and was eased back into action after two years sidelined with knee injuries. During his nine cameo appearances, Gladwin showed glimpses of what he is capable of. He also found the net in Dons' 2-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers with a fine solo effort.

He returns to the fold after being released by the club at the end of his initial contract, but manager Russell Martin said he was eager to have Gladwin return should finances allow. And following the release of Conor McGrandles to allow him to move to Lincoln City on Monday, Gladwin's return was confirmed on Tuesday.

Speaking to iFollow MK Dons, Gladwin said: “Me and Russ were in dialogue for most of the time we were away. I know the football club wanted to take some time to see where it would be at, but I only had my eyes on this while we were away.

“I really enjoyed my time here last season. The club giving me the opportunity after such a long time out was really special for me, so I’m pleased it’s sorted now and I can’t wait to get going again.”
