Fleetwood boss Simon Grayson felt his side deserved the win but was satisfied with a point against MK Dons on Saturday.

Charlie Brown struck late to cancel out Gerard Garner's strike on the hour to share the spoils, with both sides holding position in League One - Dons in ninth and Fleetwood 15th.

“I’m disappointed and frustrated as I thought we certainly deserved to win the game," said Grayson afterwards. "I thought the attitude was really good. The way we applied ourselves was really good and we played against a very possession-based team.

“You know that they’re going to play out from the back so you know that you’ve got to keep your shape and be disciplined, and we knew we could pinch things in the right areas and hit them on the break when space opens up.

“I can’t remember them really having a shot on target, we hit the bar, had some good opportunities in the first half. In the second half, we kept the same shape and Ged got a fantastic goal and we had opportunities to go and get that second goal while it’s still only 1-0.

"Overall, I’m pleased with how players applied themselves, how they applied themselves to the shape and their attitude as well.”
