HEAD-TO-HEAD: Robbo will ignore the 'clowns' and keep his tactics for Oldham
There won't be any knee-jerk reactions from Karl Robinson when his side visit Oldham Athletic on Saturday as he insists his style of play is working.
While Dons sit 14th in League 1 after 10 games with three wins to their name, the manager feels his side have dominated in each of their last four outings, against Bolton, Oxford, Fleetwood and Bury.
However, he has seen his side pick up just five points from the 12 on offer prompting some sections of the fan-base to question Robinson's tactics.
The manager though had a stern message for those questioning his approach: "People were telling me, tactically, I got it wrong. Remember when those clowns say it: tactics are there to dominate games. If we weren't dominating games, we'd have to change. But we're having more crosses, shots, corners than our opposition.
"Tactically, we're developing the end product. We just need to calm down."
HEAD-TO-HEAD: Oldham vs MK Dons in the MK Citizen Stats CentreForm away from Stadium MK has been solid for Dons this season, but after the disappointment of Tuesday's 3-1 smash-and-grab defeat at home to Bury, they'll be eager to get back on track against struggling Oldham on Saturday.
Having not lost to the Latics since February 2013, Dons have scored 10 goals against Oldham in their last two meetings, including a record-breaking 7-0 win in December 2014.
But even though they sit 23rd in the table, Robinson says he's wary of the threats namesake Steve Robinson's side possess.
Like Dons, Oldham haven't won at home in the league this season and have to look back to August 20 for their last win in any competition - ironically, a 1-0 win away at Bury.
"They're playing a lot of different formations at the moment," Karl Robinson added. "We're having to work on several different styles of play because of the unpredictability of Oldham.
"I'm not so worried about the personnel in those positions, but we'll work out how we deal with their systems."
