Another week, another goal for Rhys Healey - this time a fine strike against Rotherham on Saturday to secure a point for MK Dons against the league leaders.

After falling behind to Freddie Ladapo's 10th minute goal, Healey raced onto Joe Walsh's hopeful ball over the top, and took the ball from the halfway line into the penalty area, beat one man, beat him again as he cut back onto his left-foot to fire past Daniel Iversen midway through the first half.

Scoring his sixth goal in seven games, and his 12th for the season, Healey continues to impress manager Russell Martin.

He said: "It was an amazing goal – not many players can score a goal like that. I thought he'd missed the chance early on but he chopped back on him, then again and rifled it in. It was an amazing finish from a player who is growing every week in terms of confidence, and his status in the group. I'm really pleased for him.

"And I'm pleased to see the shift he put in as well, chasing back 60 yards at the end to help George Williams at left back. He has been great and as long as he gets in the position to score goals, he will continue to do that."

Talking about his assist, defender Walsh admitted: "I saw Rhys, I didn't think it would make it to him, I just hit it as hard as I could!

"He still had a lot to do at the end of it, but he took the goal really well and got us the point."
