MK Dons' season in the Championship ended with defeat as they went down 2-1 to Nottingham Forest at stadium:mk on Saturday.
Chris Cohen’s diving header put Forest a goal up after just eight minutes, but Nicky Maynard capped a fine passing move 11 minutes later to equalise for the home side.
Tempers flared when Danny Fox was sent off for a dangerous tackle on Jordan Spence, earning him a red card.
But despite playing 10 men, Dons squandered a series of second half chances and were made to pay when Britt Assombalonga scored his first goal in over a year to win it for Forest.
