Burton are one of the form sides in the country at the moment, but MK Dons want to go to the Pirelli Stadium and pick up their third win in a row.

Since taking over, Jimmy Floyd Haselbaink has guided Burton to nine wins from 13, crucially losing just once as the Brewers have escaped the depths of the relegation zone which they have sat in for long periods of this season.

They had won six games in a row before drawing away at Blackpool on Tuesday night, and now sit 18th in League One, eight points clear of the drop zone.

"What Jimmy has done there is incredible," said Dons boss Russell Martin. "People were writing them off and he’s changed everything. They play with so much energy and enthusiasm. They all buy into it and enjoy it and aside from Manchester City they are probably the most in form team in the country. It’s a massive test for us.

"The players are up for the challenge and looking forward to a good game of football, the challenge is to implement our game and play our way – I’m looking forward to it."

Dons have only played once at the Pirelli Stadium, and it saw them come away beaten 1-0 despite dominating the game - something of a precurser of things to come this season.

"It was frustrating, it followed a pattern of this year," said captain Dean Lewington. "We dominated the ball and had a lot of chances but didn’t get any points. We work on that constantly to improve us."

MArtin added: "That was so frustrating last year, I didn’t want to remember it! If we can get to the level of performance we showed last year I’ll be pleased – but both teams are different. I have no doubts it’ll be a really tough game of football."
