MK Dons player seals exit, League One rivals keen on Hull City defender

The transfer window is in full swing, and already we’re seeing plenty of action across the length and breadth of League One.

From done deals to potential managerial replacements to the usual transfer speculation, there’s a whole host of gossip doing the rounds, and it promises to be a busy few weeks.

MK Dons face a massive challenge this weekend in the shape of an FA Cup third round clash against Premier League mainstays Burnley.

Sean Dyche’s men have endured a slow start to the season, but are starting to look more like their old selves of late, and will fancy their chances against League One opposition.

The Clarets actually knocked the Dons out of the competition at this stage back in 2010.

Elsewhere in the division, the big question is still, ‘who will replace Joey Barton as Fleetwood Town boss?’.

The usual merry-go-round of names have been linked with the post, but there has been an interesting development recently, with a Premier League legend who has yet to hold a senior managerial post emerging as a surprise frontrunner.

Sunderland are preparing a bid for St. Johnstone left-back Scott Tanser this month. The 26-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and is understood to have turned down the offer of a new deal. Barnsley are also said to be keen. (Football Insider)

Rochdale have set their sights on signing Hull City defender Festus Arthur. The League One strugglers have identified the 20-year-old has a potential loan target. (Football Insider)
