Callum Brittain said he was delighted to see his team-mates again after re-signing with MK Dons.

The 22-year-old defender has been out of contract since June, but had been offered a new deal to remain with the club, which has now finally been agreed.

Having racked up more than 100 appearances for the club since making his debut in 2016, Brittain has been an established member for several seasons and becomes the fifth player to re-sign after Dean Lewington, Ben Gladwin, Laurie Walker and Joe Mason.

"I’m buzzing to be back, he said. "I’ve loved my time here, I’ve been here since I was eight so it’s nice to be back. We’ve got some new faces and old faces – and I can’t wait to get going.

"Honestly, I can’t tell you excited I am. It’s been a long time since I played and I can’t wait. It’s been a long time, I’ve been off since March, to get some stability and know that I’m going to be somewhere for a while is a step forward to hit the ground running.

"I’m excited to see Lewie, Willo and Baily and the rest of the old squad, but I can’t wait to learn from Richard Keogh. He’s played so many games in the Championship, he’s someone I can look to learn from. I watched a few games of Daniel Harvie and he looks impressive too. I’m so excited to get going now."
