Jordan Houghton said it was too early to panic in the build-up to the game against the Tractorboys, and Kasumu too said: "Trust the process, we're trusting it, we believe in it and we know it's the right way to play football. It's early on, but we need to get results, we know that."

The 20-year-old, who turns 21 on Monday, stepped into the centre of the park in place of Jordan Houghton against Ipswich as Dons put behind them ti dismal showing seven days prior against Crewe.

"It is night and day from last week," Kasumu continued. "I think we played well throughout. We were disappointed to concede early but our reaction to get back into the game and to dominate is a good sign.

"It's much better than last week, and it shows we are continuing to improve. Last week was nowhere near good enough, so to come back here and play that well against a good side, and keep our heads going 1-0 down shows we've got good determination to do what we're trying to achieve.

"I played alright. I was told to help with the back three and help isolate their striker and I think I did that job. I had to get the ball, keep it ticking, give the ball to the 8, give it to the wing-backs to try and push on. I think I did that job today."
