David Kasumu is becoming synonymous with picking up yellow cards this season, but he says he will not shy away from a physical battle.

Having amassed eight bookings in 13 appearances this season already, and having served a one-match ban too, Kasumu said he feels a bit unlucky with the number of cards he has been flashed by over-eager referees this season.

Playing in a central midfield role though, Kasumu says he won't change his combative nature despite the threat of more bookings and suspensions.

"A lot of people have been talking about me and bookings, but it’s something I don’t have in my head," he said. "If it happens, it happens. It feels like I’m unlucky with the refs because it’s usually my first foul. It’s not ideal, but it’s part of the game. Hopefully, Saturday I don’t get one.

"Some games when it gets a bit rowdy it’s a bit risky because it can build up emotions. You can sometimes lose your head and get involved with emotions. I’m not going to shy away from a physical battle though, I’ll still go in strong."
