Koriya doubles up as Newport climb the table

Having once topped the table by 12 points, a combination of postponed games and dropped points saw them slip from top spot to Yaxley.

But after picking up seven points from a possible nine, they are back within four points of the leaders with three games in hand.

Saturday's result was effectively over in the first half. Fazel Koriya netted a brace, first from the penalty spot and then the other side of a Greg Ling finish.

Newport had one ruled out for offside before Dave Baker rattled home the fourth just before half time to make sure of the result.

Rothwell were reduced to 10 men in the second period, but Swans didn't add to their total.
