MK Dons kit man Ian Lanning may would have been forgiven for sticking his feet up during his 1,000th game but instead he braved the snow at Rochdale in shorts and t-shirt.

Marking 20 years and 1,000 matches in the professional game, Lanning used his special day to raise money for Bath Mind - a mental health charity - and in the memory of friend Chris Barker - brother of former Dons assistant manager Richie - in January 2020.

He stayed true to his word, sitting behind the dugout through the freezing cold game at Spotland, which saw snow fall almost throughout the evening, in just his t-shirt and shorts. And he was treated to a brilliant Dons display as they thumped Rochdale 4-1.

So far, more than £2,100 has been raised - more than double Lanning's initial target.
