Woburn and Wavendon Lionesses got their hands on their first ever piece of silverware by lifting the Beds FA Senior Girls Development Cup.
In a repeat of last season’s final, the U16s side reversed the result of 12 months ago, beating AFC Kempston 2-0 on their own pitch to lift the cup.
For 55 minutes, the crowd experienced a tight affair, with both side having their chances but not quite finding the net.
That all changed after 55 minutes though when Mille Glenn’s fine headed goal from a corner broke the deadlock.
Ten minutes later, Molly Hughes hit a trademark 30 yard effort which sailed into the net.
Holding on until the end, the Lionesses erupted in celebration as they lifted the cup.
