Woburn & Wavendon U18 Lionesses have enjoyed yet another hugely successful season, winning the treble of league, County Cup and League Cup.
Incredibly though, it is the second consecutive season they’ve done it.
And their second treble comes in the 40th anniversary of the club, something that has delighted their chairman.
“Success like this does not just land on your plate,” said chairman Ian Doggett.
“It takes an awful lot of hard work and real dedication, not only from the team but also the coaches, volunteers and parents.
“With girls/ladies football booming nationally, we are delighted that the Lionesses continue to impress both in terms of success and the large number of girls teams the club runs”.
But while the season has come to an end, manager Pat Mancini is already on the lookout for new players next season.
He said: “We’re already looking forward to next season, and are keen to hear from any ladies interested in joining us for matches on Sunday afternoons and training at Wavendon Gate on Wednesdays.”
