FULL TIME: Ipswich 0-0 MK Dons

A point is probably a fair result on the whole here. Dons played some good stuff but couldn’t create enough to really force the issue, Ipswich were dealing with scraps but two Freddie Sears efforts went just wide of the mark.

Plenty of positives to take from it for Russell Martin’s side, he’ll be disappointed not to win against a side he considered his biggest rivals for so many years at Norwich.

The results elsewhere mean Dons slip to 14th.

78 mins: Sears with a glorious chance

A ball forward aimed at Sears is not dealt with by Jules, the striker spots Fisher off his line and tries to lob him but his effort is wide of the mark. Close call for Dons.

70 mins: Two more changes for Dons

Will Grigg and Josh McEachran make way for Charlie Brown and David Kasumu. Brown, of course, came through the academy here at Portman Road.

60 mins: End-to-end stuff now

Both sides sense they can go on and win this. Ipswich have had a little bit of possession for the first time since the opening 10 minutes really, but have yet to properly test Fisher.

At the other end, Dons break up the right with Laird, he finds Surman who in turn shifts it to O’Riley but Holy is a match for it.

Change for Dons - Sorinola replaces Harvie.

47 mins: Great save from Holy

Grigg is downed on the edge of the penalty, Fraser taps the free-kick to Surman who takes a touch and curls one left-footed goalwards, but Holy gets across his line and tips it just wide.

Ipswich get us back underway here.

Half time: Ipswich Town 0-0 MK Dons

Lots of possession for the visitors but chances have been in short supply (same can be said for both sides really).

Grigg starved of the ball for long periods, Fraser with the best chance of the half which he turned into the side netting.

Decent on the whole, not much of a spectacle but patient and solid.

43 mins: Dobra should score

Great chance for the home side this time, Edwards’ cross is aimed at Dobra who slides a toe towards it but it goes just wide of the upright.

41 mins: Good chance for Fraser

Great break from Laird down the right, his cross is just behind Fraser but he flicks to Grigg whose shot is blocked, it comes to Fraser but he turns it into the side netting.

30 mins: Comfortable stuff from the visitors

It’s all MK Dons at the moment, they’re in charge of the possession stats as ever but haven’t really caused a lot of threat to Tomas Holy.

20 mins: Getting into the flow now

The game is beginning to find it’s pace now, Dons have got the ball down and are beginning to play at their tempo. Nsiala has almost put into his own net from a Daniel Harvie cross, and Zak Jules’ unorthodox volley the only real efforts of note.

10 mins: A scrappy opening

Neither side really have got on top so far. Scrappy from both sides, neither keeper tested, a lot of passes gobbled up by the two defences.

MK Dons to get us underway.
