FULL TIME: Lincoln City 4-0 MK Dons

Not seen many second half capitulations quite as bad as that from MK Dons down the years, that’s right up there. Lincoln looked up for it at the restart and simply blew Dons away. Johnson’s hat-trick and an excellent free-kick from Cohen Bramall put the icing on the cake.

Awful from Dons in that second half, just didn’t come out of the dressing room in that second half and were made to pay for it.

75 mins: Icing on the cake for Lincoln

Cohen Bramall has been excellent all evening for Lincoln, and his free-kick was brilliantly struck , Fisher tips it onto the post but it bounces back off the keeper and into the net.

Dons are just dead in the water.

70 mins: Two more changes for Dons

Houghton and Brown come on for Surman and Grigg.

58 mins: Johnson hat-trick

It’s retaken for encroaching, but Johnson lashes home his third in 13 second half minutes as Dons have capitulated in this half.

58 mins: Penalty to Lincoln

This disastrous half continues for MK Dons as Rogers is held by Jules in the box, and a penalty is awarded. Johnson to take it.

55 mins: Double change for Dons

David Kasumu and Daniel Harvie come on to replace Josh McEachran and Ethan Laird.

53 mins: Dons overplaying and let in a second

Too many opportunities to clear the ball, too many times Dons just don’t do it and play themselves into trouble. Needlessly giving it back to Lincoln 20 yards out, Johnson is once again left unmarked to beat Fisher to make it 2-0 to Lincoln.

47 mins: All too easy as Lincoln take the lead

Dons have started this half far too slowly and find themselves a goal down. A warning shot had already been fired when Anthony Scully almost got in behind but when Morgan Rogers carved himself some space, he slid in Brennan Johnson who neatly lifts the ball over Andrew Fisher to give the hosts the lead.

Lincoln restart the game, no changes for either side at the break.

Half time: Lincoln City 0-0 MK Dons

Not a lot to say about that on to be honest. It’s a patient one, neither side have had many chances to speak of. Dons are struggling to make anything stick in the final third, with Grigg, Fraser and O’Riley barely involved.

The latter two though have dropped deep to gift Lincoln with great chances, but the back three of Darling, Lewington and Jules have been more than a match for them when they’ve had a sight.
