Full time: MK Dons 0-1 Blackpool
When it rains, it pours. Nothing in that game at all from either side, and just a defensive mistake from Harry Darling which allowed Jerry Yates to net the only goal of the game.
Dons nor Blackpool really got into their stride in this one, but when things aren’t going your way, it feels like the world in on top of you and with three consecutive defeats now, Dons will feel very much like that.
86 mins: Brown comes on
Striker Charlie Brown comes on for the final four minutes, replacing Scott Fraser.
79 mins: Blackpool nearly benefit from another mistake
Warren O’Hora is the one caught in possession this time as CJ Hamilton breaks through on goal but Andrew Fisher is quick to close him down and blocks his strike with his chest.
70 mins: Jerome hits the bar
A terrific move from Dons nearly sees them draw level but they are denied by the bar when Cameron Jerome does everything right on the end of Scott Fraser’s pass, but he lifts it over keeper Chris Maxwell and thumps the woodwork.
62 mins: Still nothing falling for Dons
It’s time to shake it up for Dons, with Josh McEachran and Andrew Surman making way for Louis Thompson and Will Grigg.
It’s just not worked so far for the home side, they’ve made very little impact on this half, but neither have Blackpool either to be fair.
No changes for either side at the break, MK Dons get the game back underway.
Half time: MK Dons 0-1 Blackpool
A flat, scrappy and disappointing half for MK Dons as they go in a goal down at the break after that Harry Darling mistake.
Not a lot to write home about for either side really, not many chances, not much quality either.
38 mins : Blackpool head just over
Ollie Turton heads just over the top as Blackpool look like they’re getting on top again.
Josh McEachran had an effort a couple of minutes ago which fizzed just wide of the mark for the home side, the closest they’ve come so far.
33 mins: Blackpool lead
Dons have been OK in this one so far, but Harry Darling being caught in possession and allowing Jerry Yates the opportunity to round Andrew Fisher and roll the ball home has gifted the visitors the lead.
20 mins: All becoming a bit scrappy
After the first few minutes which saw Dons comfortably on top, Blackpool have come into the game and it’s now a bit more of a scrap. Ethan Laird is seeing lots of the ball out wide, he’s being afforded a lot of space out there but his ball into the mixer is leaving a lot to be desired.
7 mins: Laird should score
Dons have started brilliantly and should be ahead with two terrific efforts from Cameron Jerome first, who saw his shot blocked by James Husband, before Ethan Laird is picked out in the six yard box but somehow he puts it over the bar.
Dons are kicking towards the Cowshed for the first half! Shock!
Blackpool get it underway.
