Second half underway

The game back underway at Stadium MK. Both sides have made changes - Lewington has come on for Harvie for Dons, while Inniss has made way for Elerewe for Charlton.

Half time: MK Dons 1-1 Charlton Athletic

A good half of football, but it took Dons falling behind again before they burst into life. They cannot afford to keep doing that can they?!

Stockley’s header gave Charlton a deserved lead on 15 minutes, but from nowhere, Parrott got on the end of Twine’s ball to level things up three minutes later.

After that, it was a bit of a slug-fest in the centre of the park, some meaty challenges flying about, some dubious refereeing decisions too. Eisa missed a cracking chance for the hosts but 1-1 at the break is probably about fair.

43 mins: Big stop from Fisher

Great stop from Fisher. Harvie hugely let off the hook there as he slips in a dangerous spot, Stockley races clear but the MK Dons keeper keeps him at bay.

35 mins: The game has settled again

After the goals, the game threatened to explode into life but it has become a bit of a slug-fest in the midfield now. Both sides battling hard to try and get their noses in front before the break but to no avail so far.

25 mins: Eisa misses a sitter

Mo Eisa has missed a sitter there - Harvie’s cross picks him out 10 yards out, but he swings and misses the ball completely, hitting his standing leg. The loose ball falls to Parrott but he skies it well over the top.

18 mins: Dons are level!

It didn’t take long for Dons to get back into it and kick into gear at long last. Zak Jules’ header was won in the centre of the park by O’Riley, who leaves it for Twine to split the Charlton defence brilliantly for Troy Parrott to take a touch, beat his defender and then fire past Craig MacGillivray.

1-1!

15 mins: Charlton take the lead

They’ve deserved it, to be honest, have Charlton. Albie Morgan’s free kick from a dubiously awarded handball on the right-hand touchline was routinely headed in by Jayden Stockley, who beat Harry Darling to the header to give the visitors the lead.

7 mins: Long ball stuff from Charlton

It seems to be Charlton’s early tactic to exploit Dons out wide as Baldwin and Harvie press forwards.

Decent start from the visitors though, the appear to have started the better and are playing more of the ball in Dons’ half thus far.

Charlton get the game underway after both sides take the knee.

MK Dons have confirmed a new member of their backroom staff in the form of David Wright.

Wright, 41, moves to Stadium MK from Norwich City, where he managed their Under-23s side.

“I’m really looking forward to this opportunity to work with Liam and Chris at this fantastic Football Club.

“We’ve all known each other a long time from our days at Ipswich Town - we had a great relationship back then and we’ve kept in touch ever since.

“We all see the game the same way, and off the pitch our values match as well, so when the chance arose to reunite with them, and also for me to be able to work at this stadium for a club that is moving forwards, it was an easy decision.”
