FT: MK Dons 0-3 Rochdale

FULL TIME: MK Dons 0-3 Rochdale

A drab end to the campaign then, and it sees Dons fall out of the top half of the table as a result. A shame, Rochdale totally deserved it and it could have been a greater margin of victory too, but it draws a line under the season in a disappointing way, but it shouldn’t take the shine off what was otherwise a great turnaround season.

85 mins: Game over now

Dons have done nothing to come away from this game with anything, and Rochdale have made sure of it with a third goal. Fisher’s ball was straight to Odoh on the edge of the box, who feeds Humphrys who eventually puts it past the keeper to make it 3-0.

69 mins: A double change for Dons

Matt O’Riley hasn’t lasted long, just 13 minutes actually as he limps out looking like a recurrence of the injury which forced him out last week against Fleetwood. He’s replaced by first year scholar Brooklyn Ilunga.

Jay Bird also comes on for Josh McEachran. And the striker is inches away from heading Dons back into it with his first involvement.

56 mins: Dons make another change

Matt O’Riley is coming on, he’s a surprise substitute because we were told it was Joe Mason on the bench. Anyway, he replaces Andrew Surman.

Dons really not at it in this second half, Rochdale look like they can slide Dons open at will.

50 mins: Rochdale double their lead

It’s gone from bad to worse for the home side. Beesley came really close just moments earlier, firing just wide of the mark, but Jimmy Keohane has doubled Rochdale’s lead, via a huge deflection off Matthew Sorinola, leaving Fisher with no chance.

47 mins: Rochdale lead

The relegated side are in front here at Stadium MK. Aaron Morley’s free kick was in a similar position to Sorinola’s in the first half, he goes for goal too and sends it high into the top corner.

A great free-kick to open the scoring.

Half time: MK Dons 0-0 Rochdale

Not a classic half, but a few decent efforts at either end. Sorinola hit the bar, Surman forced a save from Lynch too. Rochdale playing some OK stuff but it’s not really causing Fisher any issues.

30 mins: An early change for Dons

Ethan Laird has kicked his last ball for MK Dons, but it came at a cost as he took a heavy challenge from Gabriel Osho and is unable to continue. He is replaced by Louis Thompson.
