FT: MK Dons 0-3 Rochdale

18 mins: Surman tests the keeper

Good effort from the Dons midfielder, getting space on the edge of the penalty area to latch onto Ethan Laird’s cross but he opts to place it into the corner, and keeper Jay Lynch saves well with his feet.

15 mins: Not a lot doing so far

Rochdale are passing nicely, as are Dons but neither are really causing many problems. Jake Beesley has fired an effort into the side netting for the visitors since Sorinola’s earlier effort hit the bar.

5 mins: Dons hit the bar

Matthew Sorinola is inches away from opening the scoring with a terrific free kick, clattering the crossbar. Kasumu had pinched the ball from Eoghan O’Connell before drawing the foul from the defender on the edge of the box.

MK Dons get the game underway.

One change for Dons

Ethan Laird comes in for Matt O’Riley in the only change to the side from last week’s draw with Fleetwood.

Team: Fisher, Lewington, Jules, Darling, Laird, Sorinola, Kasumu, McEachran, Surman, Fraser, Grigg

Subs: Nicholls, Sorensen, Mason, Thompson, Bird, Davies, Ilunga

A look at Stadium MK for one last time this season

The skipper reigns supreme

At last he’s done it! Dean Lewington was named Player of the Year on Friday night - his first time claiming the title.

“It feels great!” he said. “It’s a total surprise, I didn’t think it was on the horizon, so it was a massive shock. It’s a nice feeling, I’m happy and proud to win it.”

Scott Fraser also won a couple of awards, and could snag the top-scorer prize to make it a hat-trick if he scores this afternoon against Rochdale.

Four released and plenty more in talks

Jordan Houghton, Kieran Agard, Lee Nicholls and Joe Mason will all leave MK Dons after today’s game, the club confirmed on Thursday. Seven more remain in talks, but Russell Martin believes top-scorer Cameron Jerome is likely to depart along with a few others too.
