FULL TIME: MK Dons 5-0 Swindon Town

Half time: MK Dons 3-0 Swindon

Tuesday was a bit of a walk in the park for MK Dons, truth be told. This game is even easier for Russell Martin’s side. Swindon barely put up a fight in the opening half hour as Dons took a deserved 2-0 lead.

Smith’s missed chance five minutes before the interval could have changed things, but Grigg’s second of the afternoon on the stroke of half time should put this one firmly to bed.

45+2 mins: Grigg at the double

He’s got another! Jules didn’t give up on the corner which went across the face of goal, he beats his man to put the cross in for Grigg to sweep home his second of the afternoon and put Dons 3-0 up.

40 mins: Great chance for Smith

Swindon should really have one back here, Garrick can break down the right, his cross is stepped over by Pitman for the unmarked Tyler Smith who somehow scoops it high over the bar from close range.

32 mins: Swindon finally get the ball

Swindon have barely got off the bus in the opening half an hour, but at last, they’ve managed to get into the attacking third and win a corner. Dons eventually deal with it, and a couple of throw-ins but it has been pretty routine for the Dons defence to deal with.

26 mins: That’s a penalty!

Two hands up to block Zak Jules’ shot! No choice but to award a penalty.

Scott Fraser doesn’t miss these.... sends Camp the wrong way to make it 2-0!

22 mins: Appeals for a penalty waved away

It’s still very much one-way traffic here, but MK Dons are incensed after Ethan Laird goes down in the penalty area but his appeals are waved away. Russell Martin is livid with the officials but Twitter certainly thinks it was a meal made by Laird.

15 mins: Dons take the lead!

MK Dons have totally deserved to go in front in this opening 15 minutes and are now thanks to Will Grigg. A rather hopeful ball forwards picked out Fraser over the top, his touch brings the keeper out of position, but Fraser crosses for Grigg to prod in from close range - his second in as many games!

10 mins: Swindon struggling to get a touch

They might have kicked off, but it’s just about the only touch of the ball Swindon have had so far. Two good crosses have been put into the box by Dons, just inches away from Will Grigg the first one and Scott Fraser the second.
