Dale sit 18th in League One, four points clear of Dons ahead of their trip to Stadium MK thanks to their 2-2 draw with Gillingham on Saturday. While Dons cannot climb above Brian Barry-Murphy's side on Tuesday night, Dons boss Martin said it will be a huge game between the sides.

"They picked up a good point on Saturday, which puts them four points ahead, so now we can't overtake them," he said. "But every game is huge for us, especially at home. I'm respectful of Rochdale as a team and how they play, and their manager for playing the way they do. We've watched a quite a bit of them because on their day, they're really good.

"But at Stadium MK, it's about what we do. I'm really confident and hopeful if they players can show what I've seen in training this last week, it will be a positive result for us."

Louis Thompson added: "Every game is significant in the position we're in. It's a big game, we know that. We have to be focussed on getting those three points and moving up the table."
