Martin's injury added to Dons' relegation woes

The goalkeeper hasn’t played since March 12 in the 1-1 draw with Hull at the KC Stadium.

In his absence, Dons haven’t won a game with Cody Cropper and Charlie Burns filling in between the sticks, losing five of seven, picking up just two points along the way.

“I still believe if David Martin had stayed fit, we’d have been OK,” said Robinson.

“We haven’t won a game since he got injured. When we were flying in League 1, we lost Luke Chadwick and Stephen Gleeson on the same day.

“This year, it was Dave and Rob Hall. We haven’t got a strong enough core.

“We conceded four in each of the last two home games, and none of them are good goals.

“With my strongest team fit, we’d have been that could compete. “The gap has grown since he got injured.”
