Hull City boss Grant McCann said his side have to buck up their ideas after failing to score for the third straight game.

Scott Fraser's 80th minute penalty secured Dons' third away win on the spin to move up to 13th in League One, while Hull are clinging on to second spot after picking up just a point from a possible nine.

“We’re going through a spell at the minute,” said McCann. “As a team, we’re snatching at chances. As the manager, as staff, as players, we’d be worried if we weren’t creating the opportunities. But we are creating the opportunities, we just don’t seem to be finding the back of the net.

“We’ve gone from scoring seven goals in two games against Accrington and Portsmouth to one in five. That’s just how it’s gone for us.

“We’re finding ourselves snatching, missing opportunities, not hitting the target, crossing into the first man, overhitting a cross.

“These are things that are happening to us at this present time and we’ve got to try to find our mojo. We’ve got to try and find our mojo back. That’s as a team.

“We need to start taking the chances we’re creating but we’re not being ruthless enough. We need to keep working at it, we need to keep doing it. Repetition, repetition, repetition on the training ground.

“Hopefully when one goes in, the goals will start coming in.”
