Here's how we rated the players after the game.
. Lee Nicholls - 6.5
Didn't have a save to make all afternoon. A few misplaced passes but otherwise faultless.
. George Williams - 7
Made some key interceptions in the box as Gillingham went long. Kept the front line quiet in the second half.
. Dean Lewington - 7
Took a few hits in the first half, and dealt some himself too. Cruised through the second with ease.
. Richard Keogh - 7
Was afforded a few chances in the first half to burst into the Gillingham half. Like the rest of the defence, fully deserved the clean sheet.
. Daniel Harvie - 7
A great showing on his return from international duty. Played a big part in Dons' first half performance.
5. Daniel Harvie - 7
A great showing on his return from international duty. Played a big part in Dons' first half performance.
6. Regan Poole - 7
Turned provider for Jerome early on, but had to do a lot of tracking back to cover Jordan Graham as he went forwards.
7. Top Don: David Kasumu - 8
Lead orchestrator. Threw himself about, controlled the play for the home side, and had control of Akinde despite the physical differences.
8. Louis Thompson - 7
Another good performance from Thompson as he, Fraser and Kasumu were a strong unit in midfield.
