Here's how we rated the players after the thrilling encounter at Stadium MK.
5. Zak Jules - 6
Was a key outlet in the first half as Dons opted to go longer than usual to overcome Northampton's high press. Faded from the game in the second period as Cobblers got on top.
6. Ethan Laird - 6.5
Like Jules, faded as he tired in the second half but was a big threat as he teamed up with Fraser on the right-hand side.
7. Andrew Surman - 6
A real sweet n sour performance from the midfielder. A stunning goal, some great and vital tackles mixed with awful passes and gifting possession away.
8. Matt O'Riley - 6
Had moments of positivity, but his impact wained as the game wore on. Played a key role in Surman's goal to tee up the former Bournemouth man.
