There have been plenty of disappointing moments in MK Dons’ history, and the topic of the play-offs is certainly one of them.

2. Scunthorpe United - League One - 2008/09
Dons were on the brink of Championship football under Roberto di Matteo but dropped the ball late in the season to finish behind Leicester and rivals Peterborough. 3. Peterborough United - League One - 2010/11
Rivals Posh were back in League One looking for an immediate return to the Championship, but got the rub of the green at Stadium MK in the first-leg.
