Dele Alli is set to make his long-awaited MK Dons return this weekend against Swindon.
The 18-year-old has been out of action since picking up an ankle ligament against Colchester on February 17.
Alli was on the scoresheet against Swindon when the sides met back in November - a game which Dons won 2-1 - and Karl Robinson says he is chomping at the bit to get going again.
“He’s the best player in the league, I believe,” said his manager.
“He needs to believe that, because he needs to challenge himself now more than ever.
“If he wants to achieve the goals his ability should allow him to, he now needs to really push on.
“He needs to keep his feet on the ground, but he needs to go into overdrive.
“We all know Dele inside out. He just loves playing football, and football for MK Dons.
“At this moment, he wants to play for us and what the forthcoming games can bring.”
